Replacement of a maple and poliklinovy belt

Knots of the belt drive at the four-cylinder engine with the removed frontal part of the car

To dismantle maple a belt (2) of the water pump, it is necessary to unscrew a pulley (1) of the water pump.

The drawing and in the photo the same subject: a tension of a poliklinovy belt in the six-cylinder engine. In the drawing the tension roller is fixed by a bolt with a six-sided head and can lean back a cap key. In the photo the bolt of TORX which for tilting of a roller the nozzle of TORX (2) with a suitable laid on key is put on is visible. Pin (1; here the punch) is inserted into the opening provided for this purpose in the tension device, at the expense of it the tension device is fixed in this situation.

Audi provides preventive replacement of a poliklinovy belt of the six-cylinder engine and a small maple belt of the water pump of the four-cylinder engine through each 120 000 km of a run. A big belt of the six-cylinder engine, being the drive of many auxiliary units, is exposed to bigger loading, maple the belt of the four-cylinder engine is the drive of the water pump having crucial importance for engine life (see the text below).

Dismantle of a maple and poliklinovy belt from the four-cylinder engine

Here dismantle (replacement) of all driving belts is described. Therefore this description it is possible to be used for other cases. The sequence of dismantling, belongs to dismantle of all belts, but is not necessary when replacing one belt.

Through 120 000 km of a run of Audi demands replacement only of a short maple belt, but because of the large volume of work replacement of all belts is offered.

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. First of all, unscrew a frontal part of the car and bring it into situation for service (the head Detali of a body).
  2. Note the direction of rotation of a klinorebristy belt chalk or a felt-tip pen (for installation).
  3. Poliklinova a belt for the compressor of climatic installation: weaken both fixing bolts of the tension device of a belt
  4. At the expense of it the tension of a klinorebristy belt is weakened, and it can be removed
  5. Poliklinova a belt for a servonasos, the generator and the viscous fan: establish a rozhkovy key on the tension device and cast away it to the right.
  6. Fix the tension device. For this purpose insert a pin (for example, a suitable drill) into the opening intended for this purpose.
  7. Take off poliklinovy a belt between servonasosy and the generator from the generator.
  8. Again raise a key the tension device and remove a pin.
  9. Block a belt pulley of the viscous fan a bolt of M5 x 60 mm and unscrew a fixing bolt (an internal hexagon of 8 mm behind).
  10. Remove the viscous fan and a klinorebristy belt.
  11. Maple belt of the water pump: weaken three bolts of a belt pulley on the water pump. For this purpose block a pin a belt pulley of a servonasos.
  12. Remove a belt pulley and a belt.
  13. About installation and a tension of belts see in the following section.

 Council: New maple the belt cannot be pulled on belt pulleys at all by means of the screw-driver since the breaks arising at the expense of it would program the following defect of a belt in advance.

Installation of a maple and poliklinovy belt on the four-cylinder engine

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. At installation of the klinorebristy belt which was in the use consider previously designated direction of rotation.
  2. Maple belt of the water pump: in stages tighten bolts of a belt pulley of the water pump with the imposed maple belt. At the same time constantly turn a belt pulley in order that maple did not clamp a belt between half of belt pulleys.
  3. Only when maple the belt moves from outer side in the correct situation, tighten bolts on 25 nanometers.
  4. Poliklinova compressor belt of climatic installation: fixing bolts of a tension roller are still weakened.
  5. Check whether the console with a tension roller easily moves.
  6. Establish a dynamometer key on a hexagon of the console of a tension roller and tighten on 25 nanometers – the tension of a belt will be correct.
  7. Tighten fixing bolts (20 nanometers).
  8. Poliklinova belt of a servonasos, generator and viscous fan: establish a rozhkovy key on the tension device and cast away it to the right.
  9. Fix the tension device.
  10. Impose poliklinovy a belt; you monitor at the same time correct landing of a belt on belt pulleys.
  11. At the imposed poliklinovy belt lift the tension device a key again and remove a pin.
  12. The inhaling moment for the viscous fan: 45 nanometers.

Dismantle and installation of a poliklinovy belt from the six-cylinder engine

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Dismantle an engine cover (head Dvigateli).
  2. Dismantle a cover of a klinorebristy belt.
  3. Cars with the viscous fan: dismantle the viscous fan (the head the Cooling system).
  4. Establish a laid on key of SW 17 on a hexagon of a tension roller.
  5. In cars without hexagon: wring out a cover of a tension roller and establish TORX-T40 key on the central bolt of a tension roller.
  6. Cast away the tension device to the right.
  7. Fix the tension device. For this purpose insert a pin (for example, a suitable drill) into the opening provided for this purpose.
  8. Note chalk or a felt-tip pen the direction of rotation on a belt.
  9. Take off poliklinovy a belt.
  10. At installation: in the beginning impose a klinorebristy belt on a belt pulley of the crankshaft and the directing roller, then on a tension roller.
  11. Again lift a key the tension device and remove a pin.
  12. Establish covers.
