Replacement of the fuel filter

The fuel filter in Audi A4 is designed in such a way that it does not need to be changed throughout all life of the engine. It is very good as for dismantle of the filter it is necessary to sort all fuel tank in quattro. And it in turn demands dismantle of the back bridge.

Therefore replacement of the fuel filter is necessary only in case of functional violations.

The fuel filter (2 – with pipelines 1 and 3) in models with the drive on forward wheels settles down precisely before the right back wheel niche on the car bottom.


The fuel filter (2) of the quattro models is installed on the right forward end of the fuel tank. Besides, are shown by figures:
1 – a fuel-supply line from the fuel tank to the filter; 3 – a fuel-supply line from the filter to system of injection.
