Fuel tank and fuel pump

The fuel tank in Audi A4 quattro is a small miracle of the equipment. Here the fuel tank is photographed from below at the dismantled back bridge. In this photo everywhere where they are, are shown by shooters of capacity of the fuel tank. Irregular shape of the fuel tank allows to increase its capacity without reduction of volume of a luggage carrier.

The fuel tank in cars with the drive on forward wheels has not such form, as in four-wheel drive vehicles. It speaks (all-wheel drive) also with a different volume of 60 l and 62 l (the forward drive). In order that it was possible to make rather equal a luggage carrier bottom with a possibility of additional charge towards salon, the fuel tank is located precisely in the field of the back bridge under a floor. There is rather big "distance of safety" to a back part of the car to avoid damages at blow behind. The fuel tank is made of synthetic material which has almost unlimited potential when molding.

Council: Before you start some works in fuel system, you have to disconnect surely the accumulator wire connected to "weight". Unforeseen electric connections can lead to dangerous sparking.
