Noise in the transmission

Eventually the noise developing in the transmission can draw attention. In this case you have to check oil level in the transmission in the beginning.

  • If on any transfer there is a howling sound and its tone changes at increase or reduction of gas, then, perhaps, couple teeth are worn out by a gear wheel of this transfer.
  • If rustles arise on all transfers, then the reason is covered in the main transfer or bearings of shaft of the transmission.
  • The rough milling noise which are heard only at the heated transmission indicate the beating synchronizing rings. When oil is diluted, it is wrung out by the synchronizing ring always in the same place.
  • Noise during the work of torsen-differential which arise in a start of motion in quattro at strongly turned wheel are normal and caused by a design.
