Main transfer

The transmission and the main transfer – almost like and in all cars with the forward drive – settle down in Audi A4 in the general case. Sil, transferred from the engine to the transmission, arrives on the main transfer through one small and one big gear wheel. On a big gear wheel the case of the synchronized transmission is screwed. In this case there are conic gear wheels linked with each other, two of them are connected to power shafts.

While we go on a straight line, both forward wheels slide with a frequency of rotation of a big gear wheel of the main transfer. Conic gear wheels of the case of the synchronized transmission which is also rotating with the same speed are in rest. On turn the wheel, external in relation to it, passes longer piece of a way, than an internal wheel. Now conic gear wheels become more active: the accelerated rotation of an external wheel and its conic gear wheel through both conic gear wheels of transfer influences that conic gear wheel on the party, internal in relation to turn, which rotates respectively more slowly.
