Dismantle of a starter

The dismantled starter (5)

1 – electromagnetic switch;
2 – the wire plug 30 (from the accumulator);

3 – the wire plug 50 (from the ignition lock);
4 – driving gear wheel of a starter.

Here the starter is sorted

1 – arm of graphite brushes;
2 – anchor;
3 – gear transfer;
4 – bearing case;

5 – case;
6 – case cover;
7 – bearing cover;
8 – safety washer, adjusting washer and laying.

Figures "1", "2" and "4" showed bolts which have to be unscrewed at dismantle of a starter (3) (the four-cylinder engine).

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Disconnect a weight wire, differently perhaps short circuit on the accumulator.
  2. Dismantle the lower facing of the engine (the head Detali of a body).
  3. Raise the right forward part of the car and record.
  4. Four-cylinder engine: disconnect all wires on the electromagnetic switch.
  5. There where is, dismantle an arm on a starter ahead in the direction of travel.
  6. Unscrew fixing bolts and nuts on a fixing flange of a starter (in the direction of travel behind).
  7. Take out a starter.
  8. Six-cylinder engine: dismantle a ventilating hose of the generator.
  9. Unscrew an oil pipeline arm (the automatic transmission) on a case and the case of the transmission.
  10. Dismantle wires on the electromagnetic switch of a starter.
  11. Uncover.
  12. Dismantle a wire of D + on the generator.
  13. Hang out wires to a starter and the generator from arms on a body, unscrew arms.
  14. Unscrew fixing bolts and nuts on a fixing flange of a starter (in the direction of travel behind).
  15. Take out a starter from a transmission bell, having overturned it from top to bottom.
  16. Now wring out a starter up and extend it over the transmission aside.
  17. In this work it is about millimeters.

Replacement of graphite brushes

If the starter strikes, then, perhaps, only graphite brushes are erased. These graphite brushes are on sale only assembled with a fixing plate. As after opening of the case of a starter sealing has to be broken, it is necessary to buy D3 sealant in a warehouse of spare parts. At the four-cylinder engine the powerful soldering iron and solder are also necessary.

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Dismantle a starter.
  2. Unscrew two screws with shlitsevy heads on a small cover of the bearing on a reverse side of a starter, uncover.
  3. Remove a safety washer and an adjusting washer from the end of a shaft located under it.
  4. Unscrew both screws with shlitsevy heads (or nuts with expansion fingers) on a back cover of the case and uncover.
  5. Measure length of graphite brushes – the minimum length of 8 mm.
  6. For replacement of graphite brushes unscrew a fixing plate from its knot of connection on the electromagnetic switch.
  7. Again mount a starter, at the same time condense with sealant a case cover, fixing screws and a cover of the bearing.

Dismantle of the electromagnetic switch

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Dismantle a starter.
  2. Unscrew a starter wire.
  3. Unscrew three screws with shlitsevy heads on a fixing flange of the electromagnetic switch.
  4. Pull the electromagnetic switch a little back and take out an eye from the starting lever of a starter.
