Check of screen wipers and windscreen washers

On the sorted brush we designated in figures the following details

1 – metal lever mechanism;
2 – metal strip;

3 – rubber nozzle of a brush of a screen wiper.


To remove a brush (1) of a screen wiper from its lever (2), it is necessary to pull a small rychazhok (shooter) down in order that the clamp jumped out of dredging on the lever.


The lever of a screen wiper (1) can be removed from an axis after an extraction of a protective cap (2) and weakening of its fixing nut. Move it to and fro a little in order that teeth were released.

  1. Include ignition.
  2. Whether screen wipers work at both speeds and whether come back after switching off to a starting position?
  3. Whether inclusion of an interval in work of screen wipers and automatic equipment of screen wipers/windscreen washers functions?
  4. Whether water from sprays of system of washing when pull for the switch of screen wipers arrives?

Replacement of brushes of a screen wiper

Rubber of screen wipers keeps about half a year. After that you have to solve whether you want to replace all brush of a screen wiper or – is cheaper – only a rubber nozzle. Anyway it is necessary to remove a screen wiper brush from its lever.

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Cast away the screen wiper brush lever.
  2. Wring out the plastic lever on an average axis of a brush of a screen wiper down.
  3. At the same time remove a brush from the screen wiper lever.
  4. At installation press a screen wiper brush so that its groove entered a fixing ledge on the lever.
  5. Do not mix a brush of screen wipers: the curved brush of a screen wiper is put on the party of the passenger near the driver.

Replacement of a rubber nozzle of a screen wiper

If the metal lever mechanism as it should be, then it is necessary to replace only a rubber nozzle of a screen wiper:

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Buy a rubber nozzle on a sample.
  2. Unbend fixing clips around a rubber nozzle on the end of a brush of a screen wiper.
  3. Take out the old rubber nozzle and a metal strip enclosed from two the party, put it on a new nozzle. Track that the bend was turned down (to glass).
  4. Insert a new nozzle and again squeeze fixing clips.

Dismantle of levers of screen wipers

  1. Open a cowl.
  2. Wring out a black protective cap ahead on an axis of a screen wiper and unscrew under it a six-sided nut. Remove a podkladny washer.
  3. The sharp movements to remove the lever from melkoshlitsevy connection of an axis of a screen wiper.
  4. Do not mix levers of screen wipers: the squeezed-out letter "F" is installed on the lever from the driver, "In" – from the passenger near the driver.
  5. At installation screw levers of screen wipers so that each of them lay on black shaped marking under a windshield.
  6. For this purpose it is necessary to be convinced that the engine of screen wipers is in position of the parking.
  7. Tighten six-sided nuts on 16 Nanometers.
  8. For test start screen wipers and double-check final situation.

 Council: Gromykhaniye and a scratch during the work of screen wipers are connected with the wrong installation of a corner of a rubber nozzle of a screen wiper in relation to glass. The rubber nozzle has to be to glass at right angle in order that – depending on the direction of the movement – it could bend in one and in other party. If the corner wrong, then it is eliminated by a screen wiper lever divorce.
