Instructions of safety

If the module of a safety cushion (2) is removed, then it is necessary to disconnect the socket (1).


The steering wheel can be removed only in the direct provision of wheels. Previously disconnect the shtekerny socket of a safety cushion (1 and 2) and the socket (3) wires of a sound signal.

Operation of the law on explosives extends to gas generators of a safety cushion and to the device for a tension of a belt. Therefore professionals to whom detailed safety rules are known are allowed to work with them only.

In the list of precautionary measures the following items are especially important:

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. During the works on a safety cushion switch-off the accumulator and isolate in addition minus a pole.
  2. Disconnect in addition shtekerny socket under the right facing of the control panel.
  3. At a break in work do not leave unguarded a safety cushion.
  4. Put the safety cushion module only a shock plate (a plate with a soft upholstery) up.
  5. During the welding works on the car switch-off the accumulator.
  6. After accident replace all components of system.
  7. To make dismantling of the car on scrap only according to the instruction!

Dismantle of a safety cushion in a steering wheel

Dismantle of a steering wheel because of the built-in safety cushion is connected with some additional problems. The one who is not self-assured let will better provide this work as a workshop.

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Surely observe the safety rule.
  2. Throughout all work do not include ignition including because differently in memory of the computer information on malfunction will be brought. Deleting of memory is possible only in a workshop.
  3. Open a door from the passenger near the driver, remove side facing of the control panel and disconnect under it the red shtekerny socket.
  4. Unscrew the safety cushion module on a steering wheel on the right and at the left behind TORX T30 key.
  5. Put the safety cushion module back.
  6. Disconnect the safety cushion module socket.
  7. Put the safety cushion module so that on the module Audi rings from above were visible.
  8. Dismantle the top part of facing of a steering column (two bolts from below).
  9. Disconnect shtekerny sockets of wires to a steering wheel (from the module of a safety cushion and a sound signal).
  10. Block a steering wheel.
  11. Weaken a nut of a steering column replaceable "nutlet" of SW 24.
  12. Surely put a steering wheel in direct position (remove only in this situation).
  13. Remove a nut and a podkladny washer, remove a steering wheel the shaking movements.
  14. At installation of a steering wheel pay attention to a symmetric arrangement of its spokes.
  15. Insert the steering lock into a groove.
  16. Tighten a nut on a steering column on 40 Nanometers.
  17. After screwing up of a steering wheel tighten manually fixing bolts of the module of a safety cushion.
  18. Then in the beginning tighten on 6 Nanometers the right bolt in the direction of travel.
  19. In the end tighten the left bolt on 6 Nanometers.
