Check of level of oil in the mechanical transmission

In the transmission lubricant means is spent not as in the engine, and can only follow through untight sites. If on the case of the transmission there is no dirty crust impregnated with oil, then it is possible to consider that oil did not act and, respectively, is in a box. Otherwise it is necessary to check oil level.

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Lift and prop up the car in horizontal position.
  2. Unscrew a bolt with an internal hexagon in 17 mm.
  3. If already at the same time pours out a little gearbox oil, – oil level as it should be.
  4. Implant a finger into a carving opening and to the touch check whether the greasing liquid reaches an opening – the level of oil is sufficient.
  5. If it is even less oil, add gearbox oil of the necessary grade at the petrol filling station or in car service.
  6. Audi orders oils of a class of viscosity of SAE 75 W-90 with the G 052 911 specification. Unlike the gearbox oils which were filled in in older Audi models in this case it is about synthetic oil.

 Council: To independently fill in very dense gearbox oil by means of a funnel and a long hose (even if it is warmed up) – the real test of patience. Therefore we do not advise it to do. It is better to use special dolivochny tanks with the connected hose.

Sleva: the carving stopper (1) of control of level of oil is in the mechanical transmission on a half of height of the case of the transmission.

On the right: the carving stopper of a drain opening (shooter) is placed under the transmission.
