Check of exhaust gases (AU)

In Germany in cars with the adjusted catalytic converter the first verification of the contents of exhaust gases in three years after date of the first admission is offered and then every two years, at the same time also installation of ignition and efficiency of the catalytic converter is checked. If Audi is necessary "the main check" in DEKRA or in TUV, then in the beginning it is necessary to carry out an inspection of composition of exhaust gases. By our experience, most quicker it becomes in the certified workshops. For saving of time it is possible to add still that in the workshop Audi there are always available latest adjusting data which other workshops, including DEKRA or TUV, obtain with a certain delay.

When checking the system of an exhaust has to be in working order, and in an inlet collector there should not be an air suction through untight sites. Besides, be convinced that the air filter pure and distance between electrodes of spark plugs correct. In addition, after driving for several months it is recommended to replace oil with short distances. The fuel condensate which got into engine oil worsens indicators of exhaust gases.

When checking the car is connected to an expensive tester in a workshop which printing device generalizes the received measuring sizes for confirmation of the undergone check. If the separate set sizes are not reached, then there is no confirmation of the undergone check. Before replacing expensive knot after not undergone check of composition of exhaust gases, repeat check in other workshop. Despite expensive measuring equipment, in results of measurements the dispersion meets. Sometimes rather long trip during which the engine, the lambda probe and the catalytic converter reach full working temperature.
